Today, voters in Packerland are voting in both the Democratic and Republican Primaries. Meanwhile in the Aloha State, voters will head to Caucus meetings to help select a Democratic nominee. And finally, today is the last day to cast your ballot in the Republican primary in Washington State. GOP voters in Microsoft's home state have a half caucus/half primary system. This means that 18 of the delegates were already awarded on Super Tuesday in congressional district caucuses and 19 will be awarded tonight statewide. Note: Washington is a vote by mail state so if you haven't mailed in your ballot, you have until 8:00pm local time to cast your ballot at your local polling place. (Democrats will also vote in Washington today, but it is a beauty contest since Washington's Democratic Party employed a caucus system to distribute their delegates on Super Tuesday.)
Delegates up for grabs tonight:
Wisconsin Democrats: 94
Wisconsin Republicans: 56
Washington Republicans: 40
Hawaii Democrats: 20
As you are planning your evening you may want to tune into your favorite 24-hour news channel around 9:00pm EST tonight when polls close in Wisconsin to see if there will be an early call in the race there. In between poll closings, I am encouraging everyone to watch the SEC matchup between Georgia and Kentucky on ESPN; or you can check out action from the Missouri Valley Conference as the Bears of Missouri State head to Omaha to take on the Blue Jays of Creighton on ESPNU. At 12:30pm EST time the networks will declare Barack Obama the winner of the Hawaii Caucus. In Washington the polls will close at 11:00pm EST, but the time is inconsequential because most voters in Jimi Hendrix's home state will have chosen to vote by mail.
Reminder: On Thursday night Campbell Brown will host the CNN and Univision Democratic Debate live from Austin at 8:00pm on CNN. Be sure to tune in, especially if you weren't one of the lucky 100 voters to win a ticket. The debate will be simulcast on Univison at 11:30pm in Spanish and will be available in full on both networks' websites after the event.
