Ad Wars: New Obama Spot Seeks to Tie McCain to Bush "90 Percent" of the Time

U.S. Sen. John McCain launched a pretty good line in last night's final presidential debate: "Sen. Obama, I am not President Bush. If you wanted to run against President Bush, you should have run four years ago," he said.

The campaign of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama was back in the production studios overnight, and part of the McCain line is in a new 30-second Obama commercial that will start airing nationally on cable today.

The ad leaves out the second part of McCain's feisty rejoinder and includes footage of the Arizona senator from a separate interview saying that he has voted with President George W. Bush more than 90 percent of the time. Not surpisingly, the ad is called "90 Percent."

Given Obama's massive dominance in television advertising, expect more Obama ads, more often, in more states and on more channels.
